Points of interest in Buell's pursuit of Bragg into Kentucky are marked in blue, as are four locations specific to the Seventeenth Kentucky Infantry.  To wit, Hartford, Calhoun and Russellville, Kentucky and Clarksville, Tennessee. Note the vast territory being contested, compared to the relatively concentrated war in the east.
